Bush Voted Year's Top Film Villain
LONDON (Oct. 27) - Readers of a British magazine have rated President Bush the year's top screen villain, for his appearance in Michael Moore's documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Filmmaker Michael Moore poses with President Bush in this promotion picture for 'Fahrenheit 9/11.'

Bush beat out a shortlist of fictional film bad guys, including the nefarious Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, in "Spider-Man 2"; cannibalistic Leatherface in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"; Andy Serkis' creepy Gollum from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy; and the eyepatch-wearing assassin played by Daryl Hannah in "Kill Bill: Vol. 2."

Almost 10,000 people voted in the poll, conducted by Total Film magazine. Results were announced Wednesday.

"It is possible that people have been a little bit tongue in cheek here, but they are also saying that Bush was very scary in `Fahrenheit 9/11,"' said the magazine's editor, Matt Mueller.

  Stern vs Powell
Howard Stern told Colin Powell's son Michael the Chairman of the FCC that he got his job because of his father and is now in charge for the same reason George W. Bush got to avoid the draft.

Michael Powell is a jackass who, like so many other people in power, got there because of thier powerful parents. He pointed to the fact that he is a lawyer as part of his reason he is qualified to be FCC Chair, nothing against lawyers - I love the law and work with tons of lawyers but there are over 800,000 attorneys in America and being one of them doesnt make someone qualified to be FCC Chair.

When you have people who are appointed to head companies, agencies and even nations based on who thier parents are rather than qualifications it makes for bad desisions.

I thought the world was in trouble...
I thought the world was in trouble... then I watched tonight's 6 o'clock news and realized we are totally screwed

Tonight's stories:

- "early voting" (whatever the f--- that is) indicates that there are serious ballot problems in Florida

- Ohio uses four DIFFERENT voting systems

- 18 states still use chads and punch cards

- 3 - 5 states have NO tracking / recount system - so not only could the Supreme Count end up appointing the president again, they might do it with no votes to recount

- the leader of the UN is being called on to step down over the 'oil for food' scandal

- the 9-11 Commission's reccomendations of screening cargo are still not working

- Temecula residents are up in arms because immigrants want to pick vegetables

This is why I ussually work past 6pm. At least it was'nt the local news.

Kerry wins! Go out and vote on Nov 2!!!

In order to remain fair and unbiased we did not include Jack Black who is an excellent musician because he is primarily known as an actor. Jack Black could have boosted the score for Kerry even more.

*Note: Kid Rock is very talented and his IQ was well over 120 before he endorsed Bush- this is not political bias against Bush because Britney Spears IQ was estimated to be below the 55 range before she decided to make a political statement, this action boosted her by over 15 points!

Books aint good fer learnin' Burn Em!
I was bored of the blog today thinking "what could I write that I havent already said - same old same old politics, another debate blah"

THEN I got this article from Kurt

The LA Times reported in an article titled "21st Century Book Burning" that Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney ordered the destruction of 300,000 books because they showed the dark side of American history.

Could we even make up stuff as ridiculous as this administration has been?!

ICE take the mike:

Freedom of Speech, let 'em take it from me
Next they'll take it from you, then what you gonna do?
Let 'em censor books, let 'em censor art
PMRC, this is where the witch hunt starts
You'll censor what we see, we read, we hear, we learn
The books will burn
You better think it out
We should be able to say anything, our lungs were meant to shout
Say what we feel, yell out what's real
Even though it may not bring mass appeal
Your opinion is yours, my opinion is mine
If you don't like what I'm sayin'? Fine
But don't close it, always keep an open mind
A man who fails to listen is blind
We only got one right left in the world today
Let me have it or throw The Constitution away

If my cloths dryer could spin as good as W the whole world would be the Sahara
The administration now says the report showing they lied about WMDs to America and the world proves that we should have gone after Saddam..... yada yada - what more can I say that hasn't been said already?

The republican party of Michigan now wants to arrest Michael Moore for "bribing" voters.

  The Great American Dumb-off Contest!
Today Vice President Cheney said that the new report that shows (again) there were NO weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. "Justifies" Bush's attack.

Hmmm....

Twilight Zone much?

MTV once profiled a rock band who had a contest to see how long they could go without a shower and see if groupies would still sleep with them.

The lead singer made it like 33 days and became so disgusted he finally took a shower- even though the groupies showed no signs of letting up.

Maybe the white house has a similar contest for Americans .

I picture Rummy, Cheney et all sitting around the Oval office with the "American stupidity contest" - saying 'you don’t think they'd be THAT stupid' etc - no matter how bad their lies smell the American people still tolerate this and keep sticking their dumb ass propaganda stickers on their cars.

  Quote from an expert
"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

Today's Stats:
US Soldiers killed in Iraq: 1064 (925 since Bush flew onto the aircraft carrier and said "Mission Accomplished")
Total American wounded: 7412
Iraqi civilians dead: 13200
WMD Found: 0
Sucess in caputuring Bin Laden (who attacked us on 9-11): 0
Number of police officers in New York City: 33,000
Number of troops looking for Bin Laden: 8,000
Halliburton stock options owned by VP Cheney when the war started: 433,000
Salary Cheney currently gets annually from Halliburton: $1,000,000
Amount of money Halliburton has gotten in no bid contracts: over $7 billion
Times this has happened in American history: 0

  Edwards wins by an inch
Edwards and Cheney both did a great job.

Cheney came off as tough and smart but cool and not angry. I have rarely heard anyone so masterfully insult another person without sounding angrier. It almost makes me sad that he is an evil cyborg sent to earth to enslave humanity.
Edwards did well as I expected, particualrly in the begining regarding Iraq.

Cheney and Edwards are smart people, unfortunatley ole Dick is a little lacking in the good citizen/ nice guy department.

Heres my chart:

................Brains.....Toughness.....Charisma.....Goodness.....Total
Bush.................1...............3...............9...............2...............15
Cheney............9...............9...............5...............1...............24
Kerry...............9...............7...............8...............8...............32
Edwards..........8...............6...............9...............9...............32

  Kerry Won
To any voter who had any question about which of these two men is the best candidate to lead our nation, this debate should help lay that question to rest. Senator Kerry won with a grandslam. He was better prepared, far more articulate, far more cool and made sense. Pres Bush came off as angry, grasping for soundbites and even seemed childish or scatterbrained at times.

Unfortunately, Kerry had to defend his Iraq record at least five times in the evening.

This is exactly what Carl Rove and the republican strategists planned back a year ago during the Iowa caucuses. At the time Howard Dean was the frontrunner. The republican party actually took out anti-Dean adds during the primaries in an effort to help stop him from getting the nomination.

Rove even went on the talk show circuit and told everyone how "great it would be to face Dean" - the democrats, of course, fell for this thinking "oh no, if Rove says he'd be easy to beat we better not nominate him". Oh sure, Rove was doing those talk shows as a public service. Maybe it was a slip of the tongue seven times in a row...not. Dean was Bush & Co's greatest fear: a candidate who could completely and unequivocally challenge the administration about the lies that led to the failure of Iraq.

Anyway - Rove got what he wanted : a candidate who has a much harder time challenging the failed mess of a war than someone like Dean would have been. As I predicted, the debate was not able to challenge Bush on his weakest points. Despite this, Kerry won the debates hands down. Sen. Kerry is the superior candidate, has a superior intellect and was the better debater. Bush's great strength is that his people run a brilliant campaign - unfortunately its mostly lies and manipulation. Bush is also very good at reaching out to stupid people, which make up a large part of the population.

Senator Kerry is a great American and a great patriot - his environmental record and service to the nation is outstanding - we can only hope that he defeats Bush next month.
